I have been painting cows for 3 years. I did art A level at school but had no formal art training. I actually trained and worked for 5 years as an actress. My great grandfather was the artist Joseph Terry RA who was a member of the Staithes Group.
My work is simple, I find a cow, photograph it, take it home (the photo not the cow) and paint it. The trickiest bit is finding the cow. Luckily my subject is relatively slow, and although it may not stand still long enough for me to paint it in the flesh, once I have found it I usually have to time hop the fence and get a few snaps before it decides to wander off.
So all in all, I like cows, and I hope you enjoy viewing my herd as much as I enjoyed painting them!
